F1 Canadian Grand Prix Open House (Part 1)
The most beautiful machine in the world...
Front wing with Ferrari logo, Fiat logo (Ferrari's parent company), Bridgestone logo (tyre supplier) and Italian flag.
Driver's cockpit with Ferrari logo visible at the side of the car.
Air intake for the car's radiator. Shell is the fuel and lubricant supplier of Ferrari.
Rear wing of the car. Almost flat as this circuit requires low downforce. The rear wing will have a larger angle of attack at circuits with higher downforce requirements.
Cockpit of the car, containing the steering wheel with a gazillion buttons and knobs on it to change hundreds of settings for the car while racing. Parameters that can be changed include fuel-air mixture, engine revs, left-right brake bias, front-back brake bias, traction control etc. Integrated LCD screen provides information for the drivers, such as the lap times and position in race. Steering wheel can also be removed for quick egress of driver from cockpit in case of emergency.
Engine cover and cockpit view.
Rear view of the car.
Ferrari F430. Not the car used in a F1 race. It is raced in other classes of races. The headlights almost look like eyes of the car.
Podium at the track.
Race control center, where the starting lights for the race are controlled.
Heiki Kovalainen's pit garage, with part of his car's bodywork on display.
